The men staffing the booth had conversations with 120-140 people, mostly men, and we were able to witness directly to 30-35 men. At least half were young men under 25 years of age. We estimate that 750 bottles of water and 250 cans of pop were freely distributed during the week-long event. The lion's share of this was passed out to the workers manning the fair rides and games who couldn't leave their posts to get any kind of relief from the sweltering temperatures. The workers were genuinely touched by our concern and WE were extremely blessed by God's using us as vessels of his generosity and compassion.

     The MUiC booth, located right in the middle of the Fair midway, was manned every day from 10AM to 10PM. Various groups dropped in to provide live P/W music, usually through the evening hours. Live music emanating from our booth was a definite attention grabber and ice breaker for meeting fair-goers and getting into meaningful discussions. We owe a big thank you to Greg Planke and his family for their countless hours devoted to helping make the MUiC booth such a success.

     We held a hastily organized worship service on the fairgrounds Sunday morning for the benefit of fair workers and exhibitors. This was also well received. Our thanks to Pastor Gene Miller from Agape Church for delivering a poignant message and to Brad Knull and Greg Planke for leading us in worship.

     The Fair outreach effort was a great opportunity to strengthen relational ties across churches. Forty two people representing eleven different local churches help out. And we are all richer for it. This brings the number of churches that have participated in MUiC events this summer to fifteen.
